SHŌZAN- NAMATSUMUG of Dark gray and unbleached white with CHAYATSUJI-GARA patterns.
Chose an OBI of pearly luster surface with flower embroideries.
This pearly luster is called “SHINJU-HAKU” which is made by real pearl powder: Put the powder onto a piece of WASHI (Japanese paper) and cut it down into strings.
This OBI uses these strings as wefts.
Wine color OBI-AGE which makes contrast between the dark KIMONO and white OBI.
For OBI-JIME, to give some gorgeous accent, I picked up one with OBI-DOME of RADEN (lamina of mother-of-pearl) and silver SAMBU-HIMO (9mm width OBI-JIME which is used to hold an OBI-DOME).
